Frederico Garcia Lorca wrote this play in 1936. It deals with repression, desire, familial and cultural restraints,
making it forever relevant. The text is Lorca’s, the photographs are mine.

In wedding the captions + photos while keeping this at a manageable size, I eliminated many characters but tried to stay true to the themes. If the photo series seems disjointed and there’s no discernable plot, it’s probably because I have not written a summary of the play or described anything for you. Maybe I’ll do that someday.
